Mini-sets played a big part in ‘Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy’ series 1. We created these for Raymond Boombox’s ‘Recruitment Ad’ and ‘Double Gash’ sketches. The 70’s New York apartment was influenced by ‘Columbo’. The street scene, where Sgt. Raymond Boombox meets Figo the Fruitfly, drew on scenes from ‘Miami Vice’. We built the mini-sets and painted the set extensions, then the green screen shots were composited on top.
