This project was about an understanding the outline of a form, so for the inspiration we looked into the paintings and the illustrations of an Indian artist Ketki Fadnis. We first created some colourful patterned backgrounds in acrylics, and then applied the outline of the flowers on top of it in pencil. Using just one colour, we painted around the outline and created this super effective paintings. To retrieve the flowers and stalks that were lost during the painting of the outline, we used some matching colour pencils and felt tips to reinstall them back…I really hope that all these wonderful pieces will be framed and hanged in the kids/teens homes.
