KOI CARP POND

These beautiful 3D hangings with their exquisite water depiction and the wriggling, lively fish could almost be mistaken for a real live scene. We used watercolour paper, scissors, glue gun, staple gun, pen and ink and my favourite ‘watercolour paints and pencils’. I have to mention and thank http://kathy-angelnik.blogspot.com for this wonderful project that I’ve by chance stumbled upon. We have also looked at some old beautiful depictions of ponds in art but also in the photograpy, and how the artists communicate the energy through the piece. It goes without saying that there was a lot of joy in creating this piece, as it was a mixture of simple model making infused with interpretational painting and drawing.
