How to mix colors on the palette, how to navigate your small working area, how to tell a story through the picture, how to create an illusion of space by using shades and tints…and how to share some school gossip while producing some fine work. This is how they do it!
Here we go again observing, painting, drawing and of course chatting…lot’s of it!!!!! 🙂 … beautiful work as always.
This project is our last one this school year. We are glittered to our little eyeballs LOL. My lovely friend Mekette started it and today we finished it. Thank you all lovely artists for the effort, creativity, patience, and willingness. I hope to see you all soon. Have a lovely Summer Holidays and don’t forget to cream! 🙂 X
…and this is what kids drawings turned into. Colorful delights! … some might need a little bit more work, but it’s up to the artists to decide.
Silly set up, super hot day and lots of enthusiasm so kids produced these great observational drawings!!!! Beautiful pencil drawings that will be turned into something else next week…not sure yet what and how but will keep you posted 🙂 x
Giving another life to a dry rose and unused old wall paper…always amazes me how different we see the world around us. Same subject, numerous representations…all exquisite in there own right! Love it 🙂
Imagine a city square or a public garden or…how would your sculpture look like, what color would it be, what do you see when you walk around it.
While I was on a work trip, my friend Mekette took over classes and set this project for the kids to do. The brief was to transform an animal by being inspired by a favorite artist…some are easily recognised and some are more obscure, but the results are super! I wish my photography was better on the day…sorry kids! 🙁
Patience and perseverance helped kids to produce these pieces, and I think it was worth it…and they love them most importantly! Organic, dynamic and alive 🙂
This week we were looking at monochromatic colours, how to create tint and shade…a very quick and satisfying project with a little help from low tack tape!…Instant poster for the wall!
